You may not realize it, but hotel room rates fluctuate regularly. The price at which you booked your hotel room might go down between when it was book and when you stay, but once you’ve booked it, it’s unlikely you’ll keep checking for lower prices. That’s where Pruvo comes in handy.
Pruvo’s system tracks your hotel room price for you FOR FREE, and notifies you when there’s a lower rate available.
We all want to save money where we can, and oftentimes you can get a lower rate on your hotel room if you have the time to track the price and the knowledge to buy it when it’s at it’s lowest. According to Pruvo, there is a 40% chance of a price reduction after a hotel reservation has been made.
There’s no denying that price drops happen, and they are likely happening even after you’ve booked your reservation. But let’s get real here – no one has time to incessantly track a hotel for drops. Now you don’t have to.
If you’re willing to reserve a refundable / cancellable hotel for your trip, then there’s no need for you to spend your time scouring for the best prices. Pruvo will do it for you. Pruvo’s system uses a special algorithm that scans room rates at the hotel you’ve booked, then alerts you to cheaper rates at the same hotel for the exact same room and length of stay.
It’s brilliant, really. If a price drop occurs, Pruvo will save you money. If a price drop doesn’t occur, it didn’t cost you any time or money to be sure of it.
Here’s How It Works
1. Book a Hotel
Book your hotel room with free cancellation policy, using any website (Booking.com, Expedia, etc)
2. Pruvo your booking
Forward your existing hotel reservation to email@example.com
3. Save Money
Once Pruvo finds you a better price, they email you and help you rebook the exact room for a lower price to save money

Step By Step Through the Process
To completely familiarize you with the process, I’ll go step-by-step through one of my recent interactions.
I recently booked a hotel room through Expedia for a 2-night stay in Naples. Once I received the confirmation, I forwarded it to firstname.lastname@example.org. I immediately received the response below.
I created an account by clicking on the button in that email. After setting up the account, I received a confirmation message for my account. Note that there’s no need to resend your initial confirmation, as you’ve already done that.
Next I received, this email, about 24 hours after submitting my hotel confirmation.
Now you just sit back and wait to receive an email with a deal, if they find one. Do keep in mind that not all reservations will experience a price drop. You may have already booked the best rate available. If that’s the case, Pruvo won’t notify you.
I love the peace of mind this gives me. I don’t have to watch it myself. Pruvo will watch it for me and ensure I get the best deal.
If at any time you want to check in on your monitored reservations, you can log into your Pruvo app account to see how things are going along.
You’re likely to have many questions about this system that I didn’t answer above. You can check out Pruvo’s website with all their answers to your burning questions. Below are a few that I think you might be wondering:
How does Pruvo make money?
It seems too good to be true to have someone monitor your hotel rates for you, free of charge. How does Pruvo make any money doing this? Well, they receive a commission from the booking platform when they send new clients. So when they find you a better deal and they rebook it for you, they receive a commission for that. It’s no extra charge to you.
Do you have to rebook your reservation?
You don’t have to rebook your hotel if you don’t want to, even if Pruvo finds you a better deal. It’s up to you if you want to make the new booking and cancel your previous, higher-priced one. You take care doing all of that in the app once the better price has been found.
How much can I save?
There’s no typical amount saved. It’s all based on your individual reservation and the market price fluctuations. Sometimes there is no change at all. Sometimes there is only a minor change. But once in a while you can end up saving more substantially. If you don’t try it, you won’t know how much you could have saved.
Why does my hotel reservation have to be cancellable?
In order for you to rebook your stay at the lower rate, when Pruvo finds one, you need to be able to cancel your current reservation and get your money back.
If you want to make sure you’re getting the best deal, you must put Pruvo to work for you right away. Do you have any current hotel reservations? Forward them right now to email@example.com. Even if you don’t end up saving any money, you’ll have the peace of mind knowing that a great deal won’t slip by you unknown.
